 | Zagreb Golf &Country Club’s new 18 hole International Golf Course was completed in Spring 2009 and complements its already busy 9 hole and Driving Range facility. The course was built to a true USGA specification within the Green Tee and Bunker constructions and all Golf areas fully drained ensuring playing conditions no matter what the weather is. There is a natural water table below the ground what was carefully managed and more than sufficient to keep the excavated landscaped lakes full of water, giving the course a real Resort Course feel. All the Golf areas were fully shaped allowing challenging, interesting and rewarding holes with some modelled on the famous Georgia International, particularly hole 11 and 5 with its spectacular bridge to hole 6. The course is uniquely situated within the city limits and is a mere 10 minutes to the centre proving highly popular with locals and tourists alike.  | Work begun early 2004 and was completed in July 2005. The clients wish was to create the number one Golf destination in Poland. In doing this we created 14 ha of lake, which generated one million m3 of earth works. The material from the lake excavations was used to raise the 18 fairways, well above the natural water table. All greens, tees, bunkers were biult to USGA specification and we installed an irrigation system with more than 1000 sprinklers. We incorporated into the golf design many natural stone walls, around lake edges and even created a ruined castle to house the eleventh green.
